We are pleased to announce that Classical Archives is now offering an expanded and improved version of Classical Archives Radio. It offers a convenient way to listen to a continuously streamed selection of tracks from the immense Classical Archives library. We cannot think of a better or more convenient way to listen to Classical Archives through the course of your day, or to discover new composers and compositions that you will want to listen to time and time again.

Please note that before you can enjoy this full featured streaming service, you must be a Classical Archives member. 

How to Listen to Classical Archives Radio

Start by clicking on the Radio tab that is located at the top of the Classical Archives home page.

You can then start a continuous stream of music from one of the following categories . . .

• Early/Renaissance
• Baroque
• Classical
• Romantic
• Late-/Post-Romantic
• Impressionist
• Modern/Contemporary
• Orchestral
• Chamber
• Solo-Instrument
• Vocal
• Stage (including opera)

After you click on the category of your choice, the music begins and runs continuously, with new selections added for as long as you listen. As a welcome feature, you can click on the Classical Archives player that appears in your browser window and see all the selections in your listening queue – both the track that is currently playing and the selections to come.

A Better Day at the Office

My first six hours listening to Classical Archives Radio were both delightful and educational. My office was filled with streaming music. I discovered works that I had never heard before by Mozart, Schubert, Granados, Byrd and others. And during my musical journey that day, I discovered a performance of the Brahms vier ernste Gesänge (“Four Serious Songs”) by baritone Matthias Goerne that I expect to listen to repeatedly, as well as a superb recording of anthems and motets by William Byrd, performed by an ensemble called I Fagiolini.
